Bayonne

The first few nights I stayed at Alban's place.  He lives with his girlfriend Carine and two black cats in a really nice condo that was a former Volvo office from what I understand but I was pretty tired when he explained it to me so I might have miss understood.

Disinterest cat on my bed, just like old times.

The next morning.  Cat number two.

Mexicana
Alban.
Meals here are a big deal.  Always two courses with a coffee at the end.  Alban puts together all the meals and they are pretty tasty.  Even if the day is super busy time is always made for a sit down meal that is not rushed in the slightest.

Red wine and cheese, this must be France.
The gallery. Day one.

Orange is an odd choice for the back wall of a gallery.
View from the back courtyard of the gallery.
Bayonne is in Basque country so a lot of red, green and white along with bull imagery.
Going to the dump transfer station.  That's a door there in the car.
My lovely hosts.
Alban and Carine speak excellent english but are patient with my french.  I've been trying to continue speaking french even when they speak english with that said my french is still pretty rudimentary so if the conversations go beyond day to day tasks then it's back to english with me.  I can speak a little bit of basic politics in french but I get shook with art and high ideas.  I just don't have to vocabulary.
